There are different types of brick repair processes depending on the type of damage. To repair lime chips we use a very fine putty, and add a small amount of pigment to match the color of the brick. We add filler to a spatula or knife and dry the test area to check that we have the correct color. Once correct, we cover the gaps left by the lime hits and let it dry. For small chips and cracks, the process is similar to the lime chip repair process, except we also add fine sand to the mix to reinforce the structure. This gives a high quality finish to the repaired surface. For larger repair jobs, the process uses the same mixture. To fill larger repairs we apply layers in this process called joinas making the poynting cut first making sure each layer dries like the next photo.
